The purpose of any consultation process or report is to provide direction for decision-making, policy or program development, and to provide feedback to the public. To do this well, the documentation must be written in language the audience understands and relate to.

Working Conference on Strengthening the Evaluation of Real World Drug Safety and Effectiveness

Client: Health Canada

We designed, facilitated and prepared the report for this conference, held as part of the National Pharmaceutical Strategy. It brought together more than 100 stakeholders. Led by an FPT (Federal-Provincial and Territorial Governments) committee established by the First Ministers, the conference used a deliberative dialogue, world café and real time voting.

The project scope included:

  • Client liaison and strategic advice
  • Project management, including orientation and coordination of a team of facilitators and note-takers
  • Design process and development of all materials, including dialogue guide, facilitator’s script
  • Plenary and small group facilitation
  • Preparation of the conference report
