One World developed an on-line and downloadable public education tool for use by student committees on university and college campuses across Canada. A workshop to provide training to student leaders in the use of the Tool was also developed and piloted.

The project scope included:

• Development and piloting of “Training-of-trainers” workshop, including activities to strengthen facilitation skills
• Activities to engage university and college students in an exploration of the Millennium Development Goals
• Support materials, including presentation decks, fact sheets and evaluation tools.

Client: Canadian Public Health Agency

CPHA needed a planning and assessment tool to provide a structure and process for bringing together those working to prevent and manage chronic disease in health regions across the country. One World was contracted to create a tool help accomplish this goal, to help

CPHA take steps to build understanding, break down silos and better integrate prevention and management efforts. The interactive tool does this by:

• Engaging stakeholders in Dialogue
• Promoting information exchange
• Assessing current policy, planning and practice
• Identifying actions, roles and shared responsibilities for preventing and managing chronic disease.
