Facilitation

Whether you are planning a consultation, conference, retreat, workshop or meeting, One World can provide you with a skilled and experienced facilitator to make it productive.

We have successfully worked to engage academics, professionals, citizens government leaders, business leaders, youth, employees, voluntary sector groups and others, in both official languages.

Our aim is to ensure that a meeting achieves its objectives without stifling the sharing of ideas and views and that the discussion remains respectful and in focus. Our facilitators are trained in dialogue and many also have a background in conflict management.

We provided services for the Fall 2007 community dialogues in British Columbia. The consultation included one provincial policy consultation and ten regional community stakeholder dialogues, involving First Nations and other interests. Through a competitive process, the contract was awarded to us again in 2008.

The project scope included:

  • Client liaison and strategic advice
  • Project management, including budget, timelines and quality control
  • Facilitation and note-taking
  • Development of materials
  • Analysis and preparation of final report.

The final report for the Community Dialogue session is available on the DFO website: 5th Annual Fall Community Dialogues – 2008
