Evaluation is key to successful decision-making. One World has a proven record of success in process and project evaluation. We use a variety of tools including surveys, interviews and focus groups, and methodologies such as participatory evaluation, appreciative inquiry and case studies, depending on the scope of the project.

We believe strongly in integrating evaluation into a process from the beginning. This helps clarify the objectives for engagement and what success will mean for your project.

Priming Action on the Social Determinants of Health

Client: Health Nexus (previously Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse)

One World conducted an evaluation of the engagement project: Priming Action on the Social Determinants of Health. Priming Action is Phase II of an initiative to begin a dialogue on the relationship between chronic disease and the social determinants of health and to share what is being learnt, in order to support action to prevent chronic disease.

The project scope included:

  • Development of an evaluation framework
  • Development of questionnaires for workshop participants
  • Use of online surveys
  • Delivery of post-workshop focus groups
  • Ongoing dialogue with staff to reflect on overall project learnings
