One World has designed multiple training modules on facilitation, dialogue and citizen engagement. We have delivered over 30 training workshops across the country on these topics.

Client: Service Canada

One World designed two workshops on facilitation for Employment Insurance staff. The objectives of this training were:

• To talk about adult education principles and how these are applied in a training/facilitation session
• To jointly develop approaches to facilitating information transfer that program staff could use with staff in information sessions
• To identify/develop skills in applying these approaches through practice and feedback in the workshop

Client: Corporate Consultation Secretariat, Health Canada

One World conducted a needs assessment and developed pedagogy and materials for a two-day “training the trainers” course in public involvement and citizen engagement. We delivered the pilot workshop and subsequently revised the training course and materials.

Over a period of three years, One World developed the curriculum and piloted a two-day introductory course in public involvement and consultation for public servants.

Client: Canadian Business for Social Responsibility

One World developed, delivered and evaluated a two-day training course in dialogue for businesses.

Client: Health Products and Food Branch, Health Canada

One World assessed the learning needs then developed and piloted two sessions on public involvement in policy development. The first session was a half-day introductory session and the second was a day and half introduction to public involvement and planning. We also developed and led a two-day intense advanced course in various methodologies of public involvement for the staff of the Office of Consumer and Public Involvement.

One World designed and delivered a two-year training program for newly-emerging non-profit organizations. The areas of training included governance, management, public relations, and fundraising.
