Client: Public Health Agency of Canada
We designed and conducted an evaluation of a national multi-faceted public engagement project on a key pandemic preparedness issue.
The country-wide engagement project consisted of seven citizen dialogues, two stakeholder dialogues and two target group dialogues. Data was gathered throughout the course of the project and at its completion, so that both formative and summative evaluation issues could be addressed.
The project scope included:
- Development of an evaluation framework
- Design and use of data collection tools, including pre- and post- session questionnaires, interviews, focus groups and surveys
- Analysis of findings
- A learning circle with the internal PHAC team
- Analysis and final report

Evaluation is key to successful decision-making. One World has a proven record of success in process and project evaluation. We use a variety of tools including surveys, interviews and focus groups, and methodologies such as participatory evaluation, appreciative inquiry and case studies, depending on the scope of the project.
